Cheap Things to do
And suddenly there are only 60 days left. Just two scant months. I think this one might be a day early, but whatever. It's close enough.
Happy August 8th! We've made it through the hard part of the waiting.
Actually, I'm pretty much resigned to the likelihood that we won't be going to Florida. The state is an unmitigated disaster and even if we kept to ourselves it's just not worth the risk. I'm thinking we do a long weekend Buffalo or even Niagara Falls. Just to get away a little. Nonetheless, I'm going to do this edition + one other because they'll be relevant whenever we go.
We've agreed that there will be no Disney Parks on this trip and I don't intend to change my mind about that, although you can feel free to try. However there are some other less expensive options that we could try and occupy our days with. Not quite free, but super cheap. How cheap? We could do 5 of these things for the equivalent of one day at Magic Kingdom. So pretty damned cheap.
1. Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum. $26.99 Admission.
This museum is on International Drive in Orlando. This is kind of the Orlando version of 192 near Seralago. Super touristy. Is the museum worth 27 bucks a person? Probably not. You can get through the whole thing in an hour and a half ... maybe two hours. However, it's not uninteresting and there's some cool and gross stuff to check out. Not real high on my list but I wouldn't dislike it.
2. Crayola Experience. $19.99 per person.
This would be way better with more pictures. From what I've seen (never been) it's about the size of the Disney store at Disney Springs and features different interactive areas. It is kinda cool however I'd probably be arrested or at least questioned if we went there without children. So, super low on the list.
3. Kings Dining & Entertainment. $16.00 each
What the frick is King's Dining & Entertainment??? Sounds like one of those jousting dinner theatre shows, doesn't it? It's not. Sunday through Thursday it's only $16.00 per person to get in. Once you're in there's high end bowling (picture Disney Springs) and pool tables. Plus lunch and dinner menus to order from. It looks pretty cool. In lieu of good pictures, you can check it out here ... KINGS
4. Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Garden $19.50 each
I don't know how I've missed this one all these years. Looks like a really good value. This is located in Sanford which is a little under an hour from Seralago if we take the 417 which will have no traffic. There is a bird sanctuary there, reptiles, mammals and amphibians. There is also zip lining and a sunset $7.00 admission. I think the giraffe feeding alone may be worth the trip. Also the botanical gardens look stunning. I could do this. You can check it out here ... ZOO
5. Winter Park Scenic Boat Tour $16.00 each.

This is interesting and probably a close to a "must do". So "IF" we're going to make a trip to Winter Park to wander the beautiful downtown and get some more espresso balsamic vinegar and other oils and vinegars, it would be the perfect opportunity to do this very affordable boat tour. There are only 18 passengers per trip and the boat reminds me of the old Ellen's Universe of Energy Ride. They go out on a small lake and through canals to see the history and architecture of Winter Park. It's supposed to be beautiful. I would do this for sure. BOAT
6. SAK comedy Lab $5.00 - $20.00
I noted this because it's cheap. I would be 50/50 on going to see stand up comedy and I'm pretty sure you'd be closer to zero/zero. However, this isn't stand up, it's improv which puts me pretty close to zero because I find improv to be stupid and not funny in the least. It's the lowest form of comedy and always ends up being non funny toilet humour. However, we know where it is if we are so bored that we actually pick going here. Not putting a link because it's unlikely.
7. Pirates Cove golf - $14.50
Sure. You know this place. Right around the corner from Seralago by Fun Spot. As I recall you weren't a huge fan. However, I thought it might be fun to try this without blood dripping down my arm and splashing on the concrete. You know, just for novelty sake. I won't ask you if want to go while we're there. I would actually do this everyday, so anytime you want to go just let me know and I'll be game for a game.
That's all for today baby xoxoxoxoxox
